DAXTON BENNICK >>
To win a title, one must be resilient, courageous, and tenacious. Not easily crumbled or broken, and steadfast in their quest for a championship. The will of a king can be tested when times are hard, and
it seems as though all odds are against them and their crew. Those who aren’t capable, seem to de- toriate, and shy away from the largest of platforms like these. But, there are those who flourish, and feel as though they can rise to any level, such as the top contenders in the 85cc (9-11) Limited Divi- sion. To begin the first moto, Daxton Bennick came out with authority, guiding a field as if he were a teacher ready to begin his lecture. Forcing the field to rise to the occasion, Bennick was conjuring all types of momentum and riding a wave of quickness with every passing lap. Overtaking 65cc star Ryder Thompson, he also had Casey Cochran to deal with, and he must keep them both at bay, in order to claim the moto win and solid gatepick. Push-
ing the bike nearly parallel with the ground around the flowing left-handed sweeper, the KTM chassis seemed to be in perfect sync with the furious motor it was packing; and Bennick was truly on top of his game, fending off the likes of these serious con- tenders behind him. He never once looked back, piloting the number 241 machine to new heights over some of these large double jumps. Bennick, crossing the line with confidence, quickly picked
up his mechanic, and headed back to the truck to get prepared for the rest of the day. Bennick would be nearly flawless yet again in this round, dropping the fast lap of the moto, on lap number two. An old strategy of Jeremy McGrath, where his object was to sprint as fast as he could, separate himself, and then cruise while the rest of the pack sorted it out. And that’s exactly what Bennick decided to do, sticking to his winning ways, and keeping the front number plate extra clean. Crossing the line, he would shake hands, hugging all of his supporters, knowing that this is exactly what he came to do. Bennick is one of the hottest commodities in ama- teur motocross right now, and he looks to keep to his winning ways, as the year closes out and 2019 approaches. Watch out for Bennick as he terrorizes every division he enters.
