The #55 continues to prove that he belongs in the 450 class. In the Georgia dome, the #55 MCR machine qualified 18th during the day and he set his focus on the night show. Friese got a decent start in 450 Heat 2 and bashed and banged his way through the first turn. Somehow Vince was able to avoid the carnage through the first section and came around
the first lap in 10th. He would climb his way up to 7th, where he would finish and go to the Semi. After missing a near holeshot in 450 Semi 2, Friese struggled to keep the bike on the track but was able to do so to maintain 4th place. Vince did everything he could to hold on to the transfer position, even taking a hit from Weimer in the last corner. Vince would go to the Main. He had a decent jump as the gate dropped for the Main Event, but his outside line in the first corner led to nowhere, he was forced to jump off the track. He re-entered the track in the next corner in 11th. Vince got shuffled back to 15th where he would finish his best of the year in 2016.
