LAWSON BOPPING
Lawson Bopping has made his mark here since arriving to the United States for the 2016 Supercross series. The rider from Australia had a dream to race in the land of the brave and he definitely accomplished that this year. Bopping made all but one of the 450 main events at the races he tried at. He in a way made headlines early on in the year
after some stellar rides in the semis and LCQs. He was always right in a battle for transfer spots in those races, even winning an LCQ, and that got him an exceptional amount of TV time. As fans this unfamiliar rider because of his ability to hang with big boys and his quirky name intrigued us. But now that the season has headed East, Bopping is headed West back to Australia. He was funding this season on his own and racing in the East would have been too much for the Australian. It was fun to watch Bopping this year but he has not ruled out a return to the series when it comes back West in April and May.
