BENNY BLOSS
Benny Bloss came flying onto the scene towards the end of 2014 after finishing on the podium in the Amateur All-Star class at the MEC. In 2015, he went on to win the Open Pro Sport title at Loretta Lynn’s and took a 3rd place in the 450 A Class. His stellar performance at the Ranch earned him the
2015 AMA Horizon Award, which he claimed is better than a championship. He made his professional debut last year at the
last round of the AMA National series in Indiana where he finished 15th overall. Coming into the season, he was supposed to ride for the Blue Buffalo Yamaha team, but they parted ways shortly before the start of the season which forced him to put together a privateer ride at the last minute. He managed to finish 13th in his first ever Supercross in Atlanta, not too bad for a last minute privateer effort. Not only did he start of his Supercross career with a solid finish, he earned himself a ride with the CycleTrader/Rock River Yamaha team after Luke Renzland suffered a hard crash at Atlanta which forced him out of action. Bloss has been consistently building upon his solid start to the season, improving his result each race and finishing 7th in Toronto in a hectic race where he worked his way back from a mid-race mistake. He currently sits 8th in points coming into Detroit. It’s going to be difficult to continue to improve his results, because he’s already so close to the sharp end of the field. Bloss is growing more and more comfortable with the high intensity styled racing of Supercross each round, will he be able to improve upon his 7th place finish in his first trip to the Motor City?
