Here’s where it gets tough for Roczen. Dungey’s been on the box in each
of the first ten rounds, with Roczen failing to reach four of them. You can’t deny the fact that Roczen wants it, but bad nights and thick competition has prevented the Suzuki from matching Dungey’s pace; let alone Dungey’s consistency being second to none throughout his entire career. In Toronto last weekend, Roczen left nothing to talk about as he dominated, leaving both Musquin and the #1 red plate in the rearview mirror. Now, heading into late March, there are seven races left and 34 points remaining to close the gap. Seven opportunities to prove he doesn’t need the program to win. With the strong improvement last weekend in Toronto, Roczen continues to make the final stretch of racing one to watch. This weekend in Detroit marks not only round 11 but also the start to the rest of the season.
