>> After a seventeenth place finish at the previous East Coast round in St. Louis, Henry Miller came to MetLife Stadium hungry for a spot in the Main Event. The rider out of Rochester, Minnesota lined up for an eventful second heat race. With an extremely rough and rutted track, these 250 riders were prepared to fight for a top nine transfer spot so they could advance straight forward into the Main Event. Unfortunately for Miller, the short and aggres- sive starting line got the best of him. The number 81 machine found himself on the ground immediately off the gate after a little contact with Savatgy. Henry Miller was able to redeem himself a little bit during the five minute
plus one lap event, but he came up a little short with an eleventh place finish that would send him to the Last Chance Qualifier where he needed to prove himself worthy. The Triggracing rider lined up for the LCQ as the New Jersey crowd’s anxious energy filled the $1.6 billion stadium. The gates dropped and Miller was not about to make the same mistake that he made in his heat race as he rocketed into the first turn with the Holeshot. Henry Miller was able to keep his Yamaha in the number one spot as he crossed the finish line and
he was headed to the Main Event. With a quickly deteriorating track with
ruts galore, Henry Miller was going to have to put in a consistent ride and make good line choices if he wanted to build upon the results of his last Main Event. After a rough start, Miller found himself in the twenty-second position early on in the moto but he was able to redeem a few positions and finish the race in the sixteenth place spot; an improvement upon last weekend. Hope- fully Henry brings it in Sin City and can find even better results there.
