>> Corcoran, Minnesota native Jerry Robin started off his night strong in MetLife Stadium. With a challenging track laid out before them, heart rates were rising as the 250 East Coast riders lined up for, what was bound to be an intense, first heat race of the night. The Blue Buffalo Slater Skins rider had something to prove as the gates dropped. Robin needed a spot in the top nine if he wanted any shot at a Main Event. Early in the heat, the number 558 found himself in an awesome fourth place and only fell back a couple of spots to sixth place as the checkered flag waved. Jerry Robin was headed
to the Main Event in a confortable position with a decent gate pick to boot. Robin definitely has proven that he has what it takes to be within the top ten, and with only one round remaining, it’s really now or never for these riders
to get the results that they have been working for all season long. The New Jersey air was full of excitement as the racers lined up for the Main Event. The thirty-second card countdown began, and the gates fell. Robin was off
to an awesome start and was shredding in thirteenth place at the beginning of the moto. Unfortunately, on the fourth lap, Jerry Robin made a mistake sending him back into the twenty-second position. The track at MetLife had ruts upon ruts and was constantly changing, making for an unpredictable out- come for all of the riders. Anything could happen in the blink of an eye on this very impressionable North Eastern soil. After a twenty-second place finish at the previous round in the Lou, Jerry Robin needed to dig deep if he wanted to improve on those results. He was able to do just that and gain a couple of positions before the end of the moto and finished in nineteenth place. Hope- fully, Jerry Robin finds luck in Las Vegas at the final round and shows us all what he’s really got.
