>> Gannon Audette has been chasing down his best finish all season long. After having the chance to ride for Pro Circuit Kawasaki as a fill in rider last year where he was able to grab himself his best career finish of a third place and now finding himself back on the Kissimmee Motorsports/ Legends & Heroes team. where he’s trying to find that same speed but hasn’t been able to get passed an 8th place finish. With just two rounds left of the season the Kawasaki rider is working hard to get himself back on that box. For round 16 of the 2017 season Audette qualified in 14th into the night of racing. With that extra boost of confidence from a successful qualifying position Audette was looking ready on the start of his heat race. Get- ting a good jump out of the gate he was sitting in fifth place around the first lap. Holding onto his qualifying position he was focused as he raced around the track. Halfway into the race he made a mistake that sent him back a position into 6th. With the momentum carrying him in the wrong direction he lost another position
to Kyle Cunningham pushing back to 7th. Luckily for him the race had come to
an end and he was in the main event with a 7th place heat race finish. As the 30 second board went up it was game time for Audette getting an 11th place start.
He quickly passes Harrison and moved into 10th, but Cunningham was right there passing him sending him back to 11th. A few more laps into the race the action continued for Audette when Fredrik Noren catches him. He fights hard to not let him by but Noren was able to make the pass pushing him back to 12th. Staying close to Noren he was able to get him back a few laps later. Riding mistake free the rest of the race the Kissimmee Motorsports/ Legends & Heroes team rider was able to finish off the main event in a hard earned 11th place overall.
