>> Cade Clason has been very busy so far this season as he is making his mark as a top privateer in the premier class of Supercross. With many top twenty finishes so far in 2017, Cade’s confidence continues to build. His abundance of talent continues to show every time the gate drops and it is only a matter of time before Cade jumps into that ever sought after top 15 milestone. As the day program began in Met Life stadium, Clason navigated the ruts precisely to secure the 19th fastest time of the day. He was deter- mined to put himself in the Main and it was clear to see as the gate dropped for the 450 Heat. He put in a very impressive ride and was able to cross the line in 8th place. Unfortunately, this was not good enough to qualify but he was confident he could get it done in the Semi. When the gate dropped for this one, Cade launched off the gate and looked to be a contender early on. He solidified his spot in 3rd place and kept himself clear of all the chaos. He would eventually lose the spot to a hard charging Chad Reed but was still holding his own. His efforts would be enough as he cruised to an outstanding 4th place finish in the Semi, punching his ticket to the big show. Cade was determined to continue his success when the gate dropped for the 450 Main. He got a decent start and was doing everything he could to put in some fast laps early on. Cade rode a pretty quiet race after that as he held down the 16th place for most of the laps. Briefly, he was able to get inside the top 15 but was quickly passed back. He would go on to finish 16th, the best finish of his career.
