There was a longstand- ing narrative involving Herlings and Tomac in the buildup to the 2018 Motocross des Nations, but that only seemed to add fuel to the fire for Herlings as well as his com- patriot, Coldenhoff. It’s been quite some time since such a dominant performance has taken place at the Motocross des Nations and it could be the first time that one particular country swept all three motos and still failed to win the event.
