The sixth round of racing
in San Diego continued to produce drama, chaos, and unexpected results. Jason Anderson continued to establish his dominance on the 450SX class, capturing his third win of the season ahead of Marvin Musquin as he extended his lead in the championship
to a whopping twenty-eight points ahead of Marvin Musquin. Although the two Baker’s Factory trained riders put on a show for the fans at the front of the pack, the major storyline leaving San Diego is what happened behind them. First turn carnage removed
Eli Tomac from competition, further damaging his standing in the overall points ranking. A lot of the heavy hitters found themselves caught up in the first corner mayhem, forcing them to make quick passes and aggressive moves through the pack. Unfortunately, that can serve as a breeding ground
for mistakes and that’s exactly what happened as a part of an incident involving Ken Roczen and Cooper Webb. They were battling for position as they carved their way through the pack and the HRC Honda rider drove it up the inside of Webb, sending them both hurling off the side of the track with their
