KEN ROCZEN
Deutschland’s finest, Ken Roczen, has slowly began to get the ball rolling
in the 2016 campaign. After Ken’s father, Heiko Klepka, spilled more than a few opinionated thoughts towards the RCH Team in 2015,
both industry and fans wondered how the young German would fare for the remainder of his contract. Many expected a phenomenal few seasons from the 94 after signing with a brand he’d ridden
for years. Ken had both a stellar amateur and GP career with Suzuki, ninth at Loretta Lynn’s 2008 (250 B Modified as a 14 year old), his first professional win at Teutschenthal in 2009, and a runner-up finish in the 2010 MX2 MXGP world championship.
Native German soil tends to have a slick base, developing into a blue-groove finish at the bottom of every rut; the same can be said about the Dallas soil. With the terrain consisting of striking similarities to the
homeland, Roczen hopes to adapt this weekend and become victorious for the red, black, and gold. 10 GRITMOTO • FEBRUARY.22.16
