MITCHELL HARRISON
#289 Mitchell Harrison- Making the transition to the professional ranks is never easy, especially
jumping right into supercross instead of motocross, which the #289 is finding out. In his last year of amateurs Harrison was able to win the 250 A title at Lorretta Lynn’s in 2014. Having a successful week at the ranch is what every rider strives for as it attracts teams and contracts for the upcoming season. Mitchell was able to get the holeshot in his first two motos of the week and check out, making him hot real estate for many teams. Rockstar Yamaha/Yamalube hopped on board and offered the amateur prospect a factory ride on their team. This would be very attractive for the rookie because the team has two of the best 250 riders in world on it (Cooper Webb & Jeremy Martin). Harrison got hooked with motocross and racing at the age of 5 when his father took him to a local indoor race in Michigan and hasn’t looked back since. At the young age of 13 Mitchell’s family made the move from Michigan to south Georgia to help further Mitchell’s career and help him prepare for his motocross journey to stardom. Throughout the week Harrison is a normal teenager. When he’s not training he’s playing basketball, pingpong, and other sports but really gets into his competitive nature when he is playing NHL with his Canadian buddy, Jeremy Medaglia on his Xbox.
