#800 Mike Alessi- The Smartop Motoconcepts rider was poised
to have his best finish of the year after a great heat race. Alessi was able to get himself a holeshot in his heat race and was forced back to 2nd by Jason Anderson before the midway mark. Mike was able to run a comfortable second place and qualify directly to the main event. With another great start in the main event it was looking like Mike was going to get his first top 10 of the season. A good night turned into a bad night quick as the #800 would make a mistake on lap 8 and be put back to 18th posi- tion. At the checkers Mike would gather a 16th place finish.
