“The Rippa” didn’t rip off the start this week in the main, but he fought from WAY back up into the top ten. Lap after lap, he made his way for- ward, from 18th to 11th, to 10th, 9th, 8th, and finally finishing his aver-
age for the year: 7th. He had a great heat race (one almost identical to last week’s) starting 5th and moving up to a positive 3rd place finish. 7th overall seems well within his grasp, and, considering he can still find it from starting near-last, look for Jimmy to revisit the land of the top 5 when the West Coast Lites return in April.
