Cole started his day off in Texas pretty well, he looked smooth and
fast, and was able to qualify 14th in the overall. In the Heat, Martinez did just what he needed to and punched his ticket to the Main Event with a 9th place result. A poor gate pick for the Main would be the cause of a bad start for Cole, but he fought his way up and was able to salvage a 13th for the night.
