Starting the night with a 3rd place finish in his heat race, Mitchell was ready to
use the hometown crowd to his advantage in the main event. Although a bad start in the main would end his chances of a podium, Mitchell put on an impressive performance. He made smart passes early in the race and finished 5th overall on the night. This marks Oldenburg’s third top five finish of the season.
