There are certain classes, throughout the decades of amateur motocross, that have been simply filled with talent. For example, you
think about the 12-13 class of 2004, and how many stars they produced. From a fan’s perspective, when you are on the sidelines, you are filled with anticipation. You simply don’t know what to expect, as there are a variety of riders that come away with victory, and there always seems to be battles going on, for every position throughout the pack. Take for instance heat one, the holeshot by Larry Reyes, instilled a little bit of chaos throughout the field, with Reynolds and Leblanc being jammed up. Once making their way around, the two began to test each other’s will, seeing who could outlast one another going into specific turns. It was a true game of cat mouse, or give and take you could say. In the end, it was the number 79 of Reynolds, narrowly edging out Leblanc, and leaving the battle to be settled another day.
