Heath Harrison started moto one off with a killer start right around 10th place surrounded by some of the fastest names in the sport. Maintaining his 10th place for the first ten minutes of the race, the KTM rider was running faster lap times then Brayton the rider in front of him. Knowing he had the speed he pulled the trigger and made the pass into 9th place. Now with only ten minutes left of the race Barcia passed him sending
him back into that 10th place spot. Battling with a few riders at the end of the moto Harrison moves around 9th and 10th position. As the checkers were waved he crossed the finish in 12th place. The second moto
he didn’t get as good of a start all the way back in 23rd. Almost ten minutes into the race he moved up into
17th making progress towards the front. Unsure of how he fell back so abruptly, Harrison was all of a sudden in 25th. Then a few minutes after back even further into 33rd. Feeling better from whatever caused him to fall back he began to work his way forward with about ten minutes left of the race moving up to 27th. Now with just a few laps left of the race he made even more passes working his way all the way up to 19th when he went over the finish line. Pretty impressive with such a short time left in the moto. Going 12-19 Harrison finishes off the day with a 16th overall.
