Justin Brayton had a good day of racing at the sandiest track on the circuit. The BTO Sports KTM rider got off to a good start right around 8th place. About five minutes in he got passed and fell back to 9th.
A few laps later Heath Harrison passed him sending him back another spot. Then not long after Barcia came zipping by on his mission to the front pushing Brayton back into 11th. With only two laps to go he had worked his way back up into 9th place. Brayton rounded out the first moto in 9th place one of his best finishes of the season. In moto two the BTO Sports KTM rider got an even better start right around 7th place. A few minutes in he makes the move on Bowers and moves up to 6th place. Ten minutes in Peick passed him sending him back to 7th. As the moto continued on and the conditions got rougher Brayton fell back another couple spots back to 9th place. Continuing on in the moto around 9th place he began to reel in Nicoletti. In the process of working his way forward so were the riders behind him and Tickle passed him. In the last minutes of the race he was able to make a last minute pass for 9th place. Going 9-9 for the day Brayton finished of Southwick with a 9th overall.
