NICK ROMANO
Bayside, New York is where you can find the #411 Kawasaki ride of Nick Romano when it’s not shredding Dunlop tread marks into the Earth. Nick Romano scores solid results virtually everywhere that he rolls into, so his consistency at Gatorback Cycle Park was welcomed back with open arms. Romano was riding ridiculously fast yet in control all week long, setting the tone for much of the week in the 65cc and younger 85cc divisions. Nick blasted off three moto wins to start things off on the Supercross track then swoop- ing in and leaving the competition behind an additional four times as things moved over to the outdoor track. Aside from all of the time he spent in the front of the pack, if Romano wasn’t leading you can bet that he was not far from the top spot sliding in with nine second place finishes as well helping secure many of his national titles. In all, Romano would end the Thanksgiving week at Mini O’s with three national championships as well as five second place overall finishes. Nick is killing the game in the (7-11) and (9-11) ranks right now and things are sure looking positive for the Romano camp as ’16 quickly approaches.
PARKER MASH- BURN
60 MPG DIGITAL • JANUARY / 2016
Stephenville, Texas native Parker Mashburn is making his mark on the Schoolboy division. Mashburn has been on rails lately, never failing to find the fast line around the track. That was the case at the 2015 Mini O’s as well, as Parker stole five podium moto finishes throughout the week. Parker’s first wins came during the technical side of the week, Supercross. Mashburn was flying on the KTM 125, stealing the top spot in Schoolboy 1 (12-16) B/C and Schoolboy 1 Limited. Once things moved outdoors, he did it again, grabbing his third and final moto win of the week. Parker’s great speed is building with each passing week of practice and as the anticipation rises expect the #223 to come out swinging once the bell rings and the fight is on.
