KATIE BENSON
Katie Benson is blazing fast and isn’t scared to go big when she needs to! Following
a recent trend of girls and women on the rise, Benson even jumps in and hurts the boy’s feelings on occasion and that’s just what she did at the 2015 version of the Mini Olympics. Benson got the ball rolling in Florida with the ladies and she was unbeatable during the ac- tion. Katie won every moto in the class both on the Supercross track and outdoors, leaving nothing for her competitors to salvage. Benson’s four for four in the Girls (9-11) class proves once more that she is a strong force in this division and is hungry for race wins. Benson’s sixth place overall in the 85 (9-11) class outdoors against the up and coming boys shows furthermore that the future of motocross may have a little bit longer hair than what we are used to seeing...
Hailing from Port St. Lucie, Florida, the Fasnacht squad is a racing family through and through. With multiple members racing at a time and friends from all over, these guys have it all figured out, especially Kylie. The #33 Kawasaki rider has been super impressive this year. Slating herself as the woman to beat early on, she continued the trend throughout the entire season and into Mini O’s. As the gates dropped on the first Women’s (14+) class, Kylie worked her way into the lead twice going on to a pair of wins and a Supercross title to carry her into the outdoors. Motocross competition was no different for Fasnacht. Despite efforts from some very fast racing cohorts, they were no match for the intensity the #33 was carrying and she went on to another 1-1 finish grabbing her second national title of the week and heading into the 2016 the same way she entered the last one...ahead of the pack!
