GIVE US SOME BACKGROUND INFORMATION ON YOURSELF AND HOW YOU FIRST GOT STARTED IN THIS SPORT
I would never have guessed I would make a living with my MX skills. As a struggling privateer, I was far from winning championships, earning holeshot awards, or securing a factory ride. Training other people how to go fast on a motorcycle never crossed my mind. While I was racing, I worked as a waiter at an Italian restaurant. It was here, that I dialed in my communication skills. I relied on this skill set, to get my training program off the ground. It’s funny how things like this work out.
WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO PASS ON YOUR KNOWLEDGE TO OTHER RIDERS?
At first, training was a way for me to stay involved with this sport.
I focused on keeping riders safe, and fundamentally solid. The majority of my business was entry level riders. However, as time went on my clientele evolved into advanced riders. Now I realize how important my role really is. It’s far from just keeping them safe. Guys place their careers in my hands, and trust me completely. Once we reach this point, the real training begins!
WITH MANY DIFFERENT OPTIONS ON WHERE TO START YOUR FACILITY, WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO HAVE YOUR FACILITY AT IT’S CURRENT LOCATION?
