CHAD REED
Chad Reed is an inspiration to us all. Being one of the few to challenge Ricky Carmichael in the early 2000’s, he quickly be- came a fan favorite. Over ten years later and Chad is still a threat to win races. This seems impossible in such a grueling sport but Reed has found a way to do it. He is proving to current and fu- ture professional riders that you do not need to retire at 26 years
old. His passion for the sport goes much further than just racing.
He started his own race team in 2011 that provided jobs for mechanics, riders, techni- cians ext. Bringing in outside sponsors the sport has yet to see, while making a state- ment with unique team attire on race day. His most recent endeavor here in 2016 was bringing back the Factory Yamaha team. Being the only rider on the team and bringing along his personal sponsors, there is no questioning that Chad is the reason why the team has returned to racing. Bringing back flashbacks of the early 2000’s, everyone is excited to see Reed back on blue. Already grabbing two podiums this season, Chad looks to add another win to the history books as the series heads east.
