a red flag on lap 9 resulting in a single file restart. When racing resumed Hayes raced at the top of his game maintaining the lead through the checkered flag. As
a result of his main event 1 win Hayes was tasked with selecting the starting order inversion. With the help of an enthusiastic audi- ence Hayes selected the brief- case containing the zero allowing him first gate choice.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna presented by FMC and OTSFF rider Kyle Regal battled his way through a congested first turn to pull out a holeshot and take off to an early lead with Gavin Faith in tow. Faith closed in on Regal by lap 6 and made the pass to take over the lead in the challenging whoop section.
