Jeff started his weekend out qualifying 31st out of 43 riders with 49.922 second lap time. It is still unclear what happened to the #801 rider as he just didn’t seem to ride to his potential in the night program in Santa Clara. Either he just had a sloppy start of his heat race, or he is labouring an illness either way a last place start just isn’t what the Alessi’s are known for. After finishing over a lap behind in his heat race, Jeff was supposed to be getting prepared for his semi race. The K1 Honda rider didn’t line up for the semi and didn’t race the lcq either.
