Entering the night within the top 25 in qualifying Deven was poised to make third main event of the season. The Kellys Kawasaki privateer unfortunately missed out on qualifying for the main event after suffering from a big crash in early in the LCQ. The 447 of Raper was just one position outside of the transfer when he made his crash, which only makes things so much more upsetting. Deven will be back next weekend in Indianapolis giving it everything he has to get inside the main event, after his chance in Santa Clara slipped out of his grasp in the blink of an eye.
