In the first four rounds we have seen an explosive, aggressive, and powerful side to Ryan Dungey that is usually dormant. Dungey is a rider whose greatest talent is his consistent and smooth riding. He will quietly stalk other riders and pressure them until their wild riding bucks them off the track, then Dungey sweeps in for the win. His aggressive performances at the last three rounds have made it clear that Dungey is here to prove his 2015 season was no fluke, and to silence anyone who may have doubted him. Dungey spent his off- season forging a white-hot determination for the 2016 championship – and Oakland was another step toward that goal.
