Starting in the heat race, Seely would find himself in a heated battle with Anderson for the final transfer spot. Anderson (running 5th) made an aggressive pass on cole for the final transfer spot. Seely would return the favor with only two corners to go and take 4th place back, transferring directly to the main. As the gate dropped for the 450 main event Cole found himself inside the top 5. Riding a solid 4th throughout the majority of the race, with 3 laps to go Anderson was right there. As the two diced it out, Chad Reed also joined the party. Cole would make a slight mistake and get passed by both riders with 2 laps left, leaving him with 6th place overall for the night.
