Savatgy spent the first half of his main event working to reel in
Cooper Webb and Christian Craig. In a twist of events, the leader, Craig, lost traction in lap four and slipped, moving Webb and Savatgy up in the rankings. Webb would suddenly take over the lead and Savatgy would find himself fighting for first place. The crowd would be sent into a frenzy as vapor lock would take Webb pris- oner and ruin his perfect win streak. Joey Savatgy would take over the lead and head toward his first career win. Despite struggling with a bent shifter, nothing would stand in his way. Not only would Savatagy take the win for the night in Oakland, he would take the lead in the 250 points championship.
