New Jersey Restaurant Banned All Children Under 10
That restaurant in Singapore that started charging parents for screaming
kids walked
so Nettie’s House of Spaghetti could run! The Tinton Falls, NJ restau- rant said they’re fed up with screaming, mess- making, safety-
compromising curtain climbers terrorizing their staff and other patrons, so they made the deci- sion to ban all kids under 10 starting next month. And as always, people had strong opin- ions both for and against the
restaurant’s con- troversial new policy.
It all began earlier this month when Nettie’s, an Italian restaurant that describes itself as a “red sauce joint serving elevated nostalgia,” ann- ounced the new policy on their
social media pages. Even though “Nettie’s House of Spaghetti” sounds like a restaurant straight
outta Mickey Mouse Funhouse, they apparently fancy themselves more of an “upscale” estab- lishment. via The
Takeout:
“We love kids. We really, truly do.” So begins
a social media post by Nettie’s House of Spaghetti in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Despite that love, howev- er, kids are no longer welcome at the restaurant.
Here is the post:
“We love kids. We really, truly, do. But lately, it’s been extremely challenging to accommodate children at Nettie’s. Between noise levels, lack of space for high chairs, cleaning up crazy messes, and the liability of kids running around the
restaurant, we have decided that it’s time to take control of the situ- ation. This wasn’t a decision that was made lightly, but some recent events have pushed us to implement this new policy. As of March 8, the day we return from our winter break, we will no longer allow children under 10 to dine in the restaurant. We know that this is going to make some of you very upset, especially those of you with very well-behaved kids, but we believe this is the right decision for our business moving forward. Thank you for understanding ♥”
