ANDERSON, S.C. (WNCN) — South Carolina deputies announced on Mother’s Day they busted two people with drugs, including a woman who hid cocaine in a fake rubber pregnancy belly.
The incident hap- pened along Interstate 85 in Anderson County, which is southwest of Greenville and borders Georgia, according to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were conducting a
“proactive patrol” when they pulled over a car with a man and woman inside.
Deputies said the woman appeared pregnant but they soon became suspicious of the couple.
“The first red flag began when the two gave conflict- ing information about her ‘due date’,” a news release said.
As the woman realized deputies were becoming more skeptical of her “conflicting story” she then took off running,
deputies said.
While running, “very quickly drugs fell from the fake rubber stomach” that Cemeka Mitchem was wearing, the news release said.
During the traffic stop, deputies found 1,500 grams of cocaine, officials said.
Anthony Miller and Mitchem are facing cocaine trafficking charges, accord- ing to the news release.

May 11 (UPI) -- A Minnesota inventor who gained a following for his unusual vehicles unveiled his latest creation: a beer- powered motorcycle.
Ky Michaelson, whose pre- vious inventions include a rocket-powered toilet and a jet-powered coffee pot, said the beer-powered motorcy- cle he created in his Bloomington garage has a 14-gallon keg with a heat- ing coil instead of a gas- powered engine.
The coil heats the beer up to 300 degrees, which then becomes super-heated steam in the nozzles that propel the bike forward.
"The price of gas is getting up there. I don't drink. I'm not a drinker, so I can't
think of anything better than to use it for fuel," Michaelson told KMSP-TV.
Michaelson estimated the bike could reach speeds of up to 150 mph. He said he hopes to take the bike out to a drag strip sometime soon to test its capabilities.
Michaelson's son, Buddy, said the motorcycle could be adapted to run on almost any beverage.
"It could be any kind of liq- uid. It could be Red Bull. It could be Caribou Coffee. It could be anything. But beer. Why not," Buddy Michaelson said.
The father and son said the motorcycle will eventually be retired and have a per- manent home in Michaelson's at-home invention museum.
