In May, Oli London made headlines for coming out as a Korean transgen- der woman. However, he has now announced that he is in the process of detran-
sition-
ing back to a man after living as
a transgender woman for the last six months.
"I am no longer trans and have gone back to liv- ing as a man. Grateful if every- one could respect
my
new pronouns- He/Him KOR/EAN. Thank you," he shared on Twitter.
London has admitted that identifying as a 'transracial' was a mistake and will now be transition-
ing
back to a British man.
Speaking to a US news channel, London said that he realized that it was a big mistake and that he just wanted to be a boy.

"Six months ago I had facial femi- nization surgeries, 11 in one day. I changed my bone structure. I got hair extensions, changed wardrobes, start- ed wearing make- up, had my hair removed.," he was quoted as saying.
"I did it because I thought it would make me happy. I felt happy at the time but over a period of reflec- tion, I felt I was chasing happi- ness. Being a woman is not for me," London added.
London has previ- ously been criti- cized for having undergone exten- sive surgery to resemble BTS singer Park Jimin,
with many view- ing it as an exam- ple of cultural appropriation.
He had earlier said Korean was his culture after spending at least $150k (Rs 1.11 crore) worth of surgeries over eight years to look like one.
Recently, London shaved his hair off completely, which he views as the beginning of his journey back to being a man. He says that the last six months of living as a woman have provided him with clarity about his identity, and he's taking proactive steps, like therapy, to continue on his journey to happi- ness.
