Donald Trump Gives Verdict On Prince Harry's Deportation Status Citing Meghan Markle As The Reason

By Natalie Hunter,
Donald Trump has made it clear he's not looking
to boot Prince Harry out of the United States, despite a legal tussle over Harry's immigration status.
The former US president quipped that he had "enough problems"
with Meghan
Markle already. "I don't want to do
that," Trump declared. "I'll leave him alone. He's got enough problems with his wife. She's terrible."
This statement comes amidst the buzz about
why Harry was allowed into the US after confessing to drug use in his tell-all book
Spare. The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, has taken the matter to court, demanding that the US Government cough up records related to Harry's visa application to check if his past drug use was mentioned.
The group suspects Harry might have hidden his ille- gal drug use, which could have been grounds for denying him a US visa.
They've also thrown shade at Joe Biden, suggesting he might have shown Harry some favoritism when the Duke moved to California from Britain after he and Meghan decided to step back from Royal life. The ongoing legal saga, now
two years old, saw a US judge hint at possibly unveiling some of the confi- dential documents from Harry's visa application during a Washington DC hearing on Thursday, reports the Mirror.
The judge expressed a desire for "maximum dis- closure as long as it does- n't violate privacy" and did- n't rule out "not foreclosing the possibility that there might be some possible relief" They've asked Trump's Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to pitch in with redaction requests or reasons for "continued withholdings".
Trump, who as US presi- dent has the power to
request the release of doc- uments, previously cau- tioned that Harry could face repercussions if he lied about drug use on his US visa application. In his contentious memoir Spare, Harry confesses to using cocaine, marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms.
The duke disclosed that cocaine "didn't do anything for me", adding: "Marijuana is different, that actually really did help me."
US visa applications specifically inquire about an individual's current and past drug use, which can negatively affect the appli- cation process. Extensive drug use can result in applications being denied, however, immigration offi- cers exercise their discre- tion considering a variety of factors.
In recent interviews, Harry has been effusive about his life in California with wife Meghan Markle and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. He even shared that the idea of applying for American citi- zenship had occurred to him.
Back in September, Judge Carl Nichols ruled that the public did not have a strong interest in the dis- closure of the duke's immi- gration records, but the Heritage Foundation is requesting a change in the judgment.
