A Delta Air Lines flight from Atlanta to Barcelona on Friday night was forced to turn around after a passen- ger had diarrhea.
The Airbus A350 had set out on time on the evening of September 1 with 336 passengers on board, but was forced to turn around over central Virginia.
“It’s just a biohazard issue, we had a passenger who had diarrhea all the way through the airplane so they want us to come back to Atlanta,” a DL 194 pilot said to air traffic control.
The Airbus 350 arrived back at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport slightly more than two hours after its
departure, according to FlightAware.
Delta told CNN that the flight was delayed just over eight hours, but landed in Barcelona without further incident on Saturday at 5.16 p.m. local time. “Our teams worked as quickly and safely as possible to get our customers to their final destination,” a spokesperson said. “We sincerely apologize to our customers for the delay and inconvenience to their trav- el plans.”

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio — A family's game night turned scary when they found pennies inside of a couple of local McDonald’s chicken McNuggets.
"Wintersville police were dis- patched to the Wintersville McDonald’s at approximately 8 p.m. and took a statement from a customer about finding change/pennies inside their chick- en nugget. They found three pen- nies inside their food,” said Capt. Jason Fabin of the Wintersville PD. “Management was made aware
of it. We made a case on it. We are continuing to look into it. Management is also looking into it as well.”
Beth Rupert- Warren says it was her family that found the money.
"Looked at it, looked like it was fine, but then when they broke it open, they could see this brown object inside of it that looked like a penny," she said.
She says she returned the meat to the McDonald’s, where manage- ment was noti- fied.
"This is no reflec- tion on our local
McDonald’s. This appears to be manufacturing," she said.
NEWS9 reached out to the Wintersville fran- chise, as well as corporate com- munications and public relations for McDonald’s. We have yet to receive a response.
Rupert-Warren says she is shar- ing the story, not to point fingers, but to keep oth- ers safe.
"My biggest fear was that some- one was going to hand their child a chicken nugget in the back seat of their car in a chair seat and they could choke on something like this," she said.
