CAMPBELLSVILLE — Friendship Baptist Church has called Jamie Killion as its music minister. He is also associate professor of voice at Campbellsville University. Kent Ashley is pastor.
CAMPTON — Austin Fletcher has been called as pastor of Campton Baptist Church.

Whitehouse, Sr., 67, died
Sept. 8, 2020. He was a
Baptist preacher for 51 years.
He was pastor of Benton
Baptist Church in Mercer
County. He led Sunday
School conferences for KBC across the state. Also, he served as chaplain for American Legion Post 46. Funeral services were Sept. 11, 2020.
EDDYVILLE — Katrina “Kat” Coomer, 46, died Sept. 15, 2020. Her husband of 23 years, Mitch, is pastor of Charity Baptist Church. She was an executive assistant at Ashland Chemical Plant. Funeral services were Sept. 19 at the church.
FORT MITCHELL — Northern Kentucky Baptist Association will have its fall meeting Nov. 2 at Fort Mitchell Baptist Church. Jim Woolums is associational mission strategist.
FRANKFORT — Benita Decker retired
as music and worship leader at Farmdale Baptist Church after serving in that role for 17 years. She plans to stay at Farmdale as a member. Steve Weaver is pastor. Decker has served on various KBC committees and was chairperson of the 2018 Kentucky WMU executive director search committee. She has been involved in missions locally and globally.
HAZARD — Butch Pennington retired at the end of September after 15 years as pastor
of Petrey Memorial Baptist Church. He also served as moderator of the Three Forks Baptist Association.
HENDERSON — Airline Baptist Church hosted the 62nd annual session of the Green Valley Baptist Association. Bill Patterson is associational mission strategist.
IRVINE — Providence Baptist Church (Estill County) had Homecoming Sept. 27. Guest preacher was Mike Miller, associational mission strategist for Boone’s Creek Baptist Association. Tim Roberts is pastor.
HODGENVILLE — Taran Rager is serving as worship leader at Ovesen Heights Baptist Church. Merrill Kurtz is pastor.
LAWRENCEBURG — David Blankenship, 66, died Sept. 11, 2020. He was a member of Sand Spring Baptist Church and member of the Fellowship of Christian Magicians. He previously was on staff at Farmdale Baptist in Frankfort. Funeral services were held Sept. 26. at Sand Spring Baptist.
LEDBETTER — The annual meeting of the Ohio River Baptist Association was Oct. 19 at Ohio Valley Baptist Church. Rodney Cude is associational mission strategist.
LONDON — Tommy Tapscott was called as associational mission strategist for the Laurel River Baptist Association. He formerly was with Lifeway.
LOUISVILLE — Jeremy Shelton is serving as interim pastor of Penile Baptist Church.
LOUISVILLE — A virtual conference was
held Oct. 8 on “Helping Your Church Grow Through Social Media.” Leading the session was Marina Shelton, communications associate for social media and website design at the Kentucky Baptist Convention. It was
a project of Baptist Ministry Assistants of Kentucky.
MAYFIELD — C.W. Jackson retired after serving 20 years as pastor of New Home Baptist Church.
MAYFIELD — Trace Creek Baptist was scheduled to host a pastor appreciation dinner for all pastors of the Graves County Baptist Association on Oct. 19. Glynn Copeland is associational mission strategist.
MAYFIELD — New Vision Baptist Church has called Adam Stevenson as pastor.
MAYFIELD —South First Street Baptist Church has called Chris Potter as Interim pastor.
MELBER — Melber Baptist Church has called Brent Lee as pastor.
OWENSBORO — Jonathan Bonar is serving as pastor of Pleasant Grove Baptist. The church has completed a $2.5 million sanctuary building project.
OWENTON — Don Coleman is serving as associational mission strategist for the Owen County & Ten Mile Baptist Association, which had its annual meeting Sept. 18.
PETERSBURG — Bullittsburg Baptist Church ordained Dave Dergman and Mark Hetzel as deacons on Sept. 6. Dave Panella is interim pastor.
PRINCETON — The Caldwell-Lyon Baptist Association was scheduled to hold its 96th annual meeting Oct. 12. Speaker for the meeting was Carl Nelson, recently retired pastor of Kuttawa First Baptist Church. Rick Reeder is director of missions.
PRINCETON — A 12-day event for spiritual renewal was hosted by three churches
in September. Ron Noffsinger was guest preacher at Highland Baptist Sept. 16-
19, Kenny Rager was guest preacher at Donaldson Baptist Sept. 20-23 and Rick Hillard was the guest preacher for services at Charity Baptist in Eddyville Sept. 24-27.
