Founder & entrepreneur, Trevor Haydon starts making Shaving and Artist brushes in his childhood home in Christchurch. Bristles are prepared in the bathtub and
deliveries are made by bicycle.
HAYDN moves into its first real office space on Oliviers Road and starts creating the HAYDN Decorating range.
The move to Tuam street was the first big step
to ensure HAYDN could grow into an internationally recognised brand of excellence. Next to sales to Aus- tralia, Trevor also supplied brushes to Fiji, P.N.G. and other Pacific Islands.
With 70 employees and a prototype paint roller HAYDN grows into a main supplier across New Zealand, the USA and Germany making quality tools right in the heart of Christchurch.
The team moves to Ferry Road premises, providing greater capacity to expand the team and invest in new manufacturing processes. After buying Unipro NZ, HAYDN expands the range of Trade Tools and begins to stock a large range of Painting Accessories.
