Christchurch winner for Acme’s Tajima promo
BACK IN OCTOBER, Acme Supplies ran its first Tajima end-user promotion.
This was a channel-wide promotion, whereby any purchase of Tajima during the month of October allowed for entry into the draw to win a Kawasaki Ninja 650 LAMS motorbike, and one of five Tajima tool packs.
Acme would like to thank all their channel partners for getting in behind the promotion, and allowing in-store POS, and for the re-sharing of digital assets.
Lindsay Knowles, Managing Director of Acme, says: “This promotion was
one way of saying thank you to our
loyal Tajima customers and hopefully attracting some new ones!
“Congratulations to the prize winners and thank you again to every Tajima

 Let the children play!
A CLEAR AND documented need for more kids to engage in active play currently contrasts with a lack of public funding for outdoor playgrounds in schools.
Hence Mitre 10 NZ’s just announced Project Playground initiative, which will be the focus for 2022 of the Mitre 10 Helping Hands community program.
Project Playground will build three “epic” playgrounds in the first half of 2022, with the help of experts Playground People, for three lucky primary schools.

by a nationwide call for primary schools looking to improve their play facilities was “overwhelming” and that Project Playground will likely continue once the first three builds are complete.
“We absolutely knew there was a need, but not how great that need was in reality. More than 550 schools sent in heartfelt submissions for a new playground, that
is around half the primary schools in Aotearoa.

Scott Mackenzie, Play System Lead at Sport NZ, which is a kaitiaki of play,
active recreation, and sport across Aotearoa New Zealand, was on the
panel reviewing submissions and says the physical environment is a key part of ensuring tamariki experience quality play outcomes.
The panel whittled the extensive list of applicants down to just three deserving cases:

Christchurch.
These will be significant playground builds, each worth in the region of $140,000.
On top of this, two further schools, Wharenui School in Christchurch, and Puketapu School in New Plymouth, will be gifted $10,000 Mitre 10 Gift Cards to help them make improvements to their playgrounds.
