EXERCISE TELL ME WHEN
Understanding peer pressure is an important skill for anyone and the earlier the awareness and ability to resist it are developed, the better.
A consistent problem for many people is their inability to deal with peer pressure. If you do things you know you shouldn’t, rather than disappoint another child, you are giving in to
peer pressure.
In the Tell Me When exercise, you will learn how to recognize this peer pressure behavior in yourself and others. You will also understand how you and others feel when being manipulated and what they will think of you for trying to use peer pressure on them.
After completing the exercise, tell about when someone acted like one of the characters in the story. For example, a time someone acted like the Rabbit, (playing pitiful), to get you to do something their way.
