Page 4 - Too Smart Dog

Cosmos Crow here. Now everyone knows how handsome, strong and smart I am, right? Well, I want to tell you about a dog that is the smartest animal; besides me of course, you will ever meet. I only knew of him briefly but boy is he smart.
I first saw him when I was resting on the roof of this great big house, after a long flight to England. I was on vacation, you understand and I always go first class, resting on big expensive homes and castles.
Anyway, there was is big commotion in the court yard and this dog was all tied up and looked really sad. People were fussing and pointing their fingers at him and I figured he was in real trouble. And then it got real interesting.
But I am getting ahead of the story. I learned the whole story later so I will start at the beginning, so you will understand why I call this dog “The Too Smart Dog.”
A year ago this dog was the constant companion of a traveling Peddler. They went from village to village in their cart selling various things. They sold pots and pans, tools and even jewelry and precious metals.
It must have been interesting but tiring at the same time. After all, he never spent more than a day in any town and never had the chance to make any friends.
