Page 12 - Fussy Ferrets
P. 12
It was very quite now and I asked myself, “What will happen to this young ferret. His fussing got him what he wanted; not having to learn to find food, to build a home or even how to keep clean.
But in the animal world, you must know how to do these things. No one is going to take care of you forever. No one is going to put up with someone who is always expecting someone else to do the difficult or scary things. His fussing got him what he wanted when he was young but what about now when he is almost grown?”
I was worried about the Fussy Ferret but I had to move to a warmer location. As other birds came south after me, they told of a bitterly cold winter with lots of snow. Finding food, even for the most experienced animals, was difficult.
