INTRODUCTION
Hello my friend. I want to introduce you to our Coping Skills stories,
The Adventures of Cosmos Crow. These stories are intended to amuse and teach you. The amuse part will keep your interest and the teaching part will help you learn to deal with life’s di cul es a li le be er.
Your story is narrated by Cosmos Crow. He is an interes ng character who sees a lot of foolish behavior going on and wants you to understand why it is happening. He also wants you to learn how you can control your own foolish behavior.
Cosmos is going to use ideas that may be new to you so we want to explain them to you now.
You will have more life problems if you have the following:
S nky Thinking: This is when you tell yourself something that is foolish or untrue. Not OK Emo ons: These are bad feelings that are too strong or don’t really  t
the situa on.
Thumbs Down Behavior: These are behaviors that are foolish, not nice or get you in trouble.
You will have fewer life problems if you have the following:
Good Thinking: This is when you tell yourself something that is truthful and makes sense.
OK Emo ons: These are feelings that  t the situa on and that you can control. Thumbs Up Behavior: These are behaviors that make sense and are what you
should be doing.
