SHA MEETING MINUTES March 12, 2019

Present: Henry Grace, President; Don Regner, Vice President; Eileen Stradley, Secretary; Mike Giroir, Treasurer; Tom Hirschey, Board Member; Ken Buturla, Board Member; Kevin McNicoll, Board Member; Ray Domingue, Board Member; Sandra Lambert, Board Member; and Sandy Smith, Board Member
Absent: J C Collins. Quorum present.
President - Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Henry Grace. Pledged allegiance to the Flag. Henry introduced guests, State Representative Paula Davis and State Senator Bodi White. They talked about what to expect in the upcoming legislative session beginning on April 8. They specified that this will be a fiscal-only session. Sen. White intends to file a bill regarding ITEP, and Rep. Davis will co-sponsor, to bring continuity and stability among the parishes. They stated we may see bills addressing fiscal reform, as well. Sen. White is on the Finance Committee, and he mentioned that the budget will be a big deal in this session.
