CONGREGATIONAL CARE
Congregational Care is Christ’s ministry of care, by and for all the members of the congregation. Some of the support ministries that we o er include prayer, hospital visits, weddings, funerals, Stephen Ministry, Congregational Care Ministers, Grief Share, and Health Ministry in addition to classes and groups on a wide variety of topics.
CONGREGATIONAL CARE MINISTERS
In 2017, 17 Congregational Care Ministers (CCMs) completed training to prepare to serve as lay ministers to our congregation. CCMs will be making hospital visits and phone calls, working with the prayer ministry team, and serving in other ways to be the hands and fee and the heart of Christ to our congregation. All CCMs will serve based on requests from the pastors.
“We hope to provide additional support to comfort and console individuals in our congregation at their time of need in a caring, spiritual way. It is also very important that ALL of us at First UMC-Cary continue to focus on being a Caring Congregation by alerting our pastors or church sta when we know that someone
“ might need or desire contact and Christian support.
