After college I married (briefly) and moved to New York (where I spent most of my adult life). I worked in theater, first as a modern dancer, then as a rollerskater, and began practicing kung fu. I spent many years on the road, and got to see a lot of the world (although backstage in Sydney looks pretty much the same as backstage in Pittsburgh).
As the years progressed and performing jobs inevitably became more scarce, I began teaching rollerskating and martial arts, and doing graphic design. I spent as much time as possible in Central Park, where I met my second husband.
In '96 we moved to Malaysia (his home) and started a small organic farm. Though extremely hard, it was a clean honest existence; however, our marriage did not thrive. When my father was diagnosed with cancer I came home to take care of him, and have been living in the U.S. ever since. I moved back to NY, then after several events (which at the time seemed to be "bad luck"), in 2005 I retreated to my parents' empty house on beautiful Lake Massapoag.
And it's been great! I currently do online work for Ward's Berry Farm, teach tai chi and chi kung at the Community Center, and am writing a series of kung fu instructional manuals. I also hang out at the lake, play my ukelele and go out dancing as often as possible.
