P. 3

 Dear Reader,
Welcome to Woodside Priory’s 2019 edition ofthe literary magazine Muse! This magazine consists of literary and visual art created by both middle and high school students. The theme of Muse this year is "Dreaming in Color." In order to inspire our contributors, we decided to give a place of honor in the magazine to the piece we thought best encompassed this concept. The winner of this year’s “Dreaming in Color” competition is “Lovely Distortion” by Tara Kariat. This poem is paired on the very first page with a piece by Charlie Gainey, the artist who took the cover photo. Thank you so much for taking the time to peruse this magazine, I am blessed to have been able to work with the bewitching pieces in this year’s issue of Muse. Enjoy!
Warmly,
Hannah Sheridan Coeditor
Special thanks to coeditors Nonso Elelleh and Chloe Lahham, our lit mag staff Marie Sirenko, Leyla Gillet, Greta Patterson, Kayla Martinez, and Cristina Rosario Pérez, and finally our lovely faculty moderator Diane Lanctot, without whom this project would not have been feasible.
