The Daraja Priory Muse
The Muse is dedicated to all the Daraja and Priory thinkers, writers and creators.
New experiences, new people. These are ways to get out of what you already know and into the realm of other ways of seeing the world. Other adventures, other possibilities.
The students of Daraja Academy and Woodside Priory had the opportunity to do just that in June of 2018. With the help of facilitators Bob Bessin and Christine Parker, students were asked to think deep thoughts, be creative, and find the possibilities.
The Daraja and Priory Muse is a result of these efforts. The opportunity to share student feelings and experiences was accomplished at Daraja by students capturing their thoughts and proclaiming their results to each other in class. But now they have the opportunity to share with you, all the students and faculty of the Daraja Academy and Woodside Priory, what they have accomplished.
We hope you enjoy the creativity and beauty of the poems from our students. Additional deep thanks to Marie Sirenko for her creative design of the magazine and Kathy Gonzalez for her coaching and support of the classroom lesson, as well as providing the structure to assure this magazine came into being.
