Carb FUEL
0–60g/dayforbrain & 0–100g/daynon-exerciseactivity
• Brain needs are the same for all of us independent of genetics or body weight etc. and are only < 60 g/day if in ketosis
• MATCH carb for tissue healing to the amount of protein needed > baseline
• TOTAL Carb Fuel needs = brain + activity + tissue healing = typically 120 g / day
• Total gram / day target DIVIDED BY 20 = HOURLY carb need typically 6 g / hr
• MEAL carb fuel need = hourly need X hours until next protein feeding
• VEGETABLES CRITICAL to slow digestion of fuels to last till next feeding
~25 grams i.e. 100 Cal of fuel (not fiber) are contained in each of the above volumes
