TGB DRUM EXERCISE RIG –
PROCEDURE OF OPERATION

1. Switch on the Mains (Source- 3 phase).
2. Then Switch on the MCB (3 Pole) on the control panel and the red, yellow and blue LED
Indicator will glow, Conrming that all the three phase Red,Yellow,Blue line is present.
3. Select the Auto/Manual Switch on the manual position (i.e. LOCAL- Position).
4. Then Press the FORWARD Button Switch once momentarily and monitor the
movement of Motor Pulley. After getting conrmed about the movement of Motor
Pulley, and its direction of movement, Stop the Motor Movement by pressing STOP
button once and you will be conrmed that the Motor Movement is in proper order.
Then do the same action by pressing Reverse movement button to check its reverse
movement also in the same manner.
5. Place gently the serviceable TGB (Device under Test) on the mounting stand and x it
properly by tightening the nut & bolt to stand points of mounting stand.
6. Now rotate the lever of “Loosening & Tightening Arrangement” to lift the Base/Pulley
of Motor up (↑) to the maximum possible location.
7. Place the Rope on to the pulley of serviceable TGB at the one end and on the pulley of
Motor at the other end simultaneously.
8. After the placement of Rope to both the pulley in a loose condition, rotate the lever of
“Loosening & Tightening Arrangement” in the reverse direction, to bring back the
Base/Pulley position very much to the parallel to ground condition down (↓) direction,
where in the tension of the Rope will be automatically gets tightened. Further if more
adjustments are desires in respect to the adjustment of Rope Loosening and Tightening,
then additionally there is a facility to adjust the distance of Motor with the help of
Buttery Nut Adjuster Arrangement in the Motor Base.
9. After completing the Rope Tightening Process, make sure that the Auto/Manual Switch
to be selected in the Manual Position (i.e. LOCAL-Position) and then press the
FORWARD Button once to check the operation of TGB Pulley. Again you may opt for
REVERSE Button to see the operation of TGB Pulley in the reverse direction.
10. Adjust your desired RPM with the help of RPM Setter Switch (Status RPM displayed in
the RPM Indicator) during the FORWARD or REVERSE Operations to get the desired
output.
11. In case the desired test requires with the Load Arrangement then Stop the operation by
pressing the STOP Button and place the load to the PC ROD and Start Operation by
pressing the FORWARD or REVERSE Button.
12. In case of Auto Operation, set the desired speed with the help of 'RPM Setter
potentiometer' and at the same time set the desired time of operation with the help of
'Timer Setting Switch' and then set the 'Auto/Manual Switch' to the 'Auto' mode. The
Auto operation will start and the output will be reected in the cycle counter and after
the completion of Pre-set time, the operation will come to a Halt with total cycle
recorded in cycle meter. For next operation, reset the cycle counter.
In case if you want to stop the auto operation at any desired point of time, then press the
stop button once and the movement will come to an halt and then change the
Auto/Manual switch to manual mode.
While starting the above mentioned auto operation, in case after putting the
Auto/Manual switch to the Auto mode the operation does not gets operated, keep the
said switch in the Auto mode & then press any of the limit switch once & there after the
desired operation will get activated.
13. After all kind of operations switch off the unit by operating the MCB of the
Instrumentation Panel and disconnect the mains (Source).
14. In case of any faulty condition, you may refer to our Trouble Shooting Section.
15. Never apply any kind of oil/grease/lubricants to all the pulley groove & belt to avoid
disturbances in the operation of Rig Exercising.
