CHILDREN’S HALLOWEEN PARTY – 26 OCTOBER
We are holding a Halloween Party for children of primary school age on Friday 26 October at the Crown Hall, West Street, 6.30pm to 8.00pm. All children MUST BE accompanied by a parent or guardian. Ticket price is £3 per child; these can be bought from our office in the Parish Rooms. There will be light refreshments, a prize for the best fancy dress outfit, games and music.
COOKERY DEMONSTRATION – 11 OCTOBER
After a very successful demonstration last November our Lunch Club cook, Merle Threadgill, will once again be holding a cookery demonstration using slow cookers on THURSDAY 11th OCTOBER 10.00am – 12.30pm at the Youth Club building in Crowland. Please come along for a tasting session of the dishes produced including soups and low sugar treats.
FREE WILLS MONTH – OCTOBER
For the whole of the month of October participating local Solicitors will offer FREE Wills to people over 55. It cannot be emphasised enough the importance of making a Will therefore this is a great opportunity to do one with a Solicitor for free although a donation to a list of Free Wills Month Charities is suggested but not compulsory. Please contact our Help Desk for further information and a list of Solicitors.
150 CLUB
The July draw was held on 6 August 1st prize of £17.75 was Mrs Sue Brimson No 47 and 2nd prize of £10.65 was Mrs Anne Weyers No 58.
The August draw was held on 4 September 1st prize of £17.75 was Mr Geoff Quince No 3 and 2nd prize of £10.65 was Mrs Jackie Gorden No 25.
All numbers are included in all draws. 50% of the total subscription goes to prizes. The more numbers sold the higher the prize fund each month.
FORTHCOMING EVENTS
COFFEE MORNING – 16 NOVEMBER – IN THE LIBRARY 10AM – 12 NOON
There will be a Raffle, Tombola and a Cake Stall. Put the date in your diary and please contact us if you require transport. If you can donate a Raffle or Tombola prize it would be much appreciated, please bring to our Help Desk in the Parish Rooms.
COACH TRIP – Bury St Edmunds Christmas Market 24 November. Further details will be available nearer the date but if you would like to express an interest in this trip please contact the Help Desk.
CHRISTMAS LIGHT SWITCH ON – 1 DECEMBER
We will, once again, be having a stall at the above event. To raise much needed funds at this event we intend to have ‘prize in a mug’ therefore if anyone has any spare odd mugs they don’t need we would be very grateful for them. Please bring to the Parish Rooms.
